Andrea Newberry, 29, is the author of Forkable: Slow Food for Fast Living, a blog about home-cooked meals and entertaining for the broke and busy. She is a freelance DIY entertainment consultant and her recipes and cooking tips have received numerous awards from sites like Instructables.com. She hosts a clandestine supper club out of her apartment which has been written up in TimeOut Chicago, Apartment Therapy, EatMeDaily.com and been interviewed on Vocolo on NPR as well as the radio program Outside the Loop on WLUW.
Originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, she now lives in Chicago with her husband and giant dog. She rode a bicycle from one end of the United States to the other in 2007, catered her own wedding in 2009, and in June hopes to conquer her greatest challenge yet: being a mom.
